Andong Mountain: A Popular Destination for Beginner Climbers.
Mount Andong is one of the natural attractions located in Magelang Regency, Central Java. The mountain, which is located at an altitude of 1,726 meters above sea level, makes it a suitable choice for beginner climbers. Therefore, this mountain is often referred to as the "Mount of a Million People" because it has a relatively easy path and a fairly short travel time. The entrance ticket to Mount Andong is around IDR 20,000. Furthermore, Mount Andong also offers several supporting facilities, such as climbing equipment rental, food stalls, prayer rooms, and rest areas. The main climbing route to the peak of Mount Andong usually starts from Basecamp Sawit, which only takes about 1.5 to 2 hours on foot.
